Born in Tallinn, Estonia. Over 20 years in professional photography. Experience includes photojournalism, architecture, advertising, studio still-life (incl. food), theater (incl. dance), portraiture, scenery, etc.

1988-1992: Stringer photographer for the Associated Press. Photos published in major world papers and magazines (Time, Newsweek, International Herald Tribune, etc).
1993: Graphic designer and photo editor in Den za Dnyom, a weekly paper published in Tallinn in Russian language.
1994-present day: freelance photographer, runs a publishing company with a proprietorial retail network in the Old Town of Tallinn.

Major books published so far:
Old Tallinn (2005)
Estonia photographed and described by Toomas Vendelin (2009).

Equipment used:
View camera, middle-format film cameras, 35mm film cameras, digital SLR, Broncolor studio flashes (currently used on location only), Nikon 9000 scanner.

Physically fit and experienced to travel on foot on rough terrain.
